Property Description
WATERFRONT PROPERTY FOR SALE ON FAMOUS MICHIGAN CISCO CHAIN OF LAKES! Lot 3 is a 2.3 +/-Acre Wooded Peninsula -Shaped Parcel with 544+/- feet of frontage on the shore of the channel between Cisco Lake and Thousand Island Lake, just north of Lindsley Lake, lakes at the north end of the Cisco Chain of Lakes in Gogebic County of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The channel is
about 5 to 10 foot in the center. Loons, ducks, beaver, deer and many bird species can be seen along the waterway here. 506-Acre
Cisco Lake is about 20-Feet at it's deepest point, and harbors a variety of fish species. It is best known for its Walleye fishing, but it has lots of Northern pike, a good number of Smallmouth bass, and some Largemouth bass, Bluegills, Perch, and Crappies. A permanent low dam was constructed in 1931 to store water for hydroelectric facilities downstream at Victoria Dam. This permanent dam raised water levels between four and five feet, creating navigable channels (which only vary about six inches throughout the year) between the lakes. This dam created the water-sports
paradise that the chain is known for today. Most of the channels are navigable by nearly all watercraft, although underwater hazards in the form of sunken logs and sand bars exist. Most of these are clearly marked on navigation maps. The underwater obstructions on the Cisco Chain that frustrate boaters, good weed cover and spring-fed waters provide excellent fish spawning and feeding areas to a variety of game fish!
